Weekend Bike Park Assistants – with opportunities to progress into site management
Location:
Aston Hill Bike Park, near Wendover, Buckinghamshire
Hours:
Weekend shifts initially, with potential for additional days as the park expands
Pay:
Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and responsibilities
After several years of closure, Aston Hill Bike Park is reopening under Bike Park Chilterns CIC, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to help us run it.
We’re building a small team to support the day-to-day operation of the park, welcome riders and help deliver a safe, well-organised and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The role
You’ll be involved in a range of activities, including:
Welcoming riders, checking bookings and managing arrivals.
Helping manage parking and visitor flow.
Supporting the safe daily operation of the park, including opening and closing procedures.
Answering questions, assisting visitors and representing Aston Hill and BPC.
Carrying out routine site checks, reporting hazards and assisting with incidents.
Supporting events, activities and the ongoing development of the park.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who are friendly, dependable, practical and confident dealing with the public.
An interest in mountain biking and outdoor recreation would be an advantage, but previous bike park experience isn’t essential. We’re more interested in the right attitude, good judgement and a willingness to learn.
You’ll need to be comfortable working outdoors, taking responsibility and being part of a small team.
Opportunities to progress
As Aston Hill develops, we want to build a team capable of running the park independently, with support from BPC’s directors.
We’re particularly interested in applicants with the potential to progress into supervisory and ultimately Bike Park Manager responsibilities, including staff coordination, site operations and day-to-day management.
Relevant experience in leisure, hospitality, outdoor activities, customer service or team supervision would be valuable, but isn’t essential.
