These Terms & Conditions apply to annual memberships for Aston Hill Bike Park provided by Bike Park Chilterns CIC (“BPC”, “we”, “us”).
By purchasing a membership, you agree to these terms.
Aston Hill memberships provide the registered member with the applicable member benefits and access to riding sessions during their membership period.
Membership does not provide unrestricted or guaranteed access to the bike park at all times.
All riders, including members, will be required to book riding sessions through our booking system. Access is subject to availability, operating hours, trail conditions, safety requirements and temporary closures.
The membership category, price and principal benefits applicable to your membership will be those displayed when you purchase it.
Where membership is purchased before Aston Hill Bike Park opens for general riding, your membership period will not begin on the date of purchase.
Your 12-month membership period will begin when Aston Hill opens for general riding and memberships are activated. We will notify members when this happens.
Memberships purchased after opening will commence on the date stated at the time of purchase.
Aston Hill will operate a booking system to manage rider numbers, protect the riding experience and help us operate the site safely.
Members will receive an allocation of riding sessions or passes as part of their membership. Details of the applicable allocation and booking arrangements will be provided before membership activation.
All riding sessions are subject to availability. Membership does not guarantee availability on a particular date or at a particular time.
Unused allocations may expire and will not automatically carry forward unless we state otherwise.
Where you purchase membership online and have a statutory right to cancel, you may cancel your membership within 14 days of entering into the membership contract without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must clearly tell us that you wish to cancel. You can do this by emailing us at:

You do not have to use any particular wording.
Where your membership service has not yet commenced, an eligible cancellation within the statutory cancellation period will receive a full refund.
If you expressly request that membership services begin during the cancellation period, different rules may apply and we may be entitled to charge a proportionate amount for services already supplied where permitted by law.
Refunds following exercise of a statutory cancellation right will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law.
After any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, membership fees will not normally be refundable simply because you change your mind or your personal circumstances mean you are no longer able to use your membership.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Where exceptional circumstances arise, BPC may consider requests individually. Any discretionary refund or membership extension does not create an obligation for us to provide the same outcome in other circumstances.
Mountain biking is an outdoor activity and Aston Hill operates within a working woodland environment.
Individual trails, sections of trail or the bike park may occasionally need to close because of circumstances including:
adverse weather or unsuitable ground conditions;
trail inspection, maintenance or construction;
forestry or land-management operations;
emergencies or safety concerns;
organised events; or
circumstances outside BPC’s reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and communicate significant closures where practical.
Temporary closure of individual trails or short-term closure of the bike park will not automatically entitle a member to a refund.
If a substantial closure materially prevents members from using the membership service for an extended period, we will consider an appropriate remedy. Depending upon the circumstances, this could include extending the membership period, providing alternative access or providing an appropriate refund.
Aston Hill is an evolving bike park.
Trails, features, facilities and the configuration of the site may change during your membership as the bike park is developed, maintained and improved.
Membership provides access to Aston Hill Bike Park and its applicable membership benefits rather than guaranteeing continued availability of any particular trail, feature or facility.
We will manage significant changes reasonably and with regard to the overall membership service purchased.
Members must:
follow the Bike Park Rules and safety signage;
comply with reasonable instructions from BPC staff and authorised representatives;
ride only designated trails and permitted routes;
respect neighbouring land and property;
respect other riders, visitors, staff, volunteers and the local community;
not ride on neighbouring private land or restricted public footpaths; and
behave responsibly while using the bike park.
Serious or repeated breaches of these requirements may result in membership being suspended or terminated.
Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the reason for any suspension or termination.
Termination because of serious misconduct will not automatically result in a refund. Any refund decision will take account of the circumstances and your statutory rights.
Individual memberships are personal to the registered member and cannot be transferred, shared or resold unless BPC expressly agrees otherwise.
Members may be required to provide evidence of their membership when attending Aston Hill.
Under-18 memberships must be purchased or authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that young riders comply with the Bike Park Rules and any applicable age, supervision or riding requirements.
The eligibility requirements and number of people included within a family membership will be stated when the membership is purchased.
Family memberships may only be used by the individuals registered to that membership and cannot be shared with other people.
Mountain biking involves inherent risks. Riders are responsible for riding within their ability, choosing trails and features appropriate to their experience and using appropriate equipment.
Members must follow safety signage, Bike Park Rules and reasonable instructions from BPC staff.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability that BPC cannot lawfully exclude or restrict, including liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
We may make reasonable changes to operational aspects of membership where necessary to operate the bike park safely and effectively, comply with legal or regulatory requirements, improve the service or respond to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will not use this provision to make a material change to the fundamental membership purchased without considering the effect upon affected members and any rights or remedies available to them.
Where a significant change materially reduces the membership service, we will communicate this to affected members and consider an appropriate remedy.
Annual memberships will not automatically renew unless automatic renewal is expressly offered and agreed when purchasing or subsequently renewing a membership.
Membership prices may change for future membership periods. A subsequent price change will not alter the price already paid for your current membership.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
